Doreau Tonneliers gets the ISO 22000:2005 certification.
Doreau Cooperage is pleased to announce that it obtained the ISO 22000:2005 international standard. The awarding relates to all Doreau Tonneliers’ sites: Tonnellerie des Fins Bois, Doreau l’Atelier and Tonnellerie Doreau. This certification demonstrates the cooperage’s commitment in the continuous improvement of its production and services, to guarantee its customers’ satisfaction.
At dawn of its 30 year anniversary, Doreau Tonneliers consolidates its management system through the food safety control of the product performance.
An extra requirement that reinforces its production process and certifies the respect of the food chain. This first goal was achieved thanks to the work of the board of directors, the different teams, and the coopers.
The ISO 22000:2005 is based on four pillars:
– The HACCP principal – Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
– The application of good practices/ prerequisite programs.
– A management system.
– An interactive communication internally and externally with the different operators (upstream and downstream of the food chain).
Thierry Doreau, CEO, emphasizes “The ISO 22000 standard is part of our DNA. It is at the heart of our process, and our teams are committed to control the food safety standards. We always want to improve, and our workshop is evolving, with a new space for “bousinage”/toasting opening at the end of the year.”
Attributed by Bureau Veritas, the ISO 22000:2005 certification covers all of Tonnellerie Doreau’s activities for 3 years.
